Three Wars during the Last Days

1. The war of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38-39)


This was a prophesy given 2600 years ago.


The War of Gog and Magog probably takes place DURING the Tribulation.


Gog = general term for a political leader


In those days, an alliance of nations will be formed between Russia (Magog) and Iran (Persia), Libya, Turkey, Ethiopia --these are all Islamic countries.


Israelites will be the target.


Ezekiel 39:12-16
With fire coming down from the skies, and a clean-up that sounds like a clean-up after a nuclear warfare, this war sounds a lot like a nuclear warfare.




2. The Fall of Babylon (Revelation 18)


Babylon is thought to be Rome. This theory could be true since the Anti-Christ rises from a revived Roman empire.


Alternatively, Babylon could be the rebuilding of the actual Babylon of the past (which is what Saddam Hussein tried to do).


Either case, Babylon will be a wealthy, commercial center, and business hub of the world -- People will need to be plugged in to do any business. That is, the one-world system, mark of the beast, etc. will be the only way to do commerce. This is why it would be that much more difficult to stand for Christ in the last days, because Satan will force you to choose between materialistic needs and Jesus. But for Christians who are to live through this, remain strong in Jesus, because God will provide. This war is not about materialistic fulfillment. It is the war for souls. Do NOT receive the mark of the beast. That will seal the deal (so to speak) for spending your eternity with Satan in Hell. Guard your souls and belong to Christ!


And what of materialistic things? They will disappear in seconds. These things DO NOT LAST!! (Revelation 18:17)


So, c'mon. What should we be fighting for here, with our limited time on this Earth? Our ETERNAL glory in Jesus or the ephemeral existence of money, power... anything materialistic and of this Earth?




3. Armageddon (Revelation 16:12)


This will be the mother of all wars, the war that ends human history. This war will be fought by the nations of the world, a true world war.


The word Armageddon appears only once in the Bible. Armageddon will take place in Har Magiddo, literally "the hills of Magiddo". 


Magiddo exists today, in northern Israel, about 60 miles away from Israel. This is a strategic piece of land that, in those last days, world leaders will use to direct their fire power at Israel.


Leaders of nations will be called to join the battle at Magiddo. The Anti-Christ's only objective is to kill God's people and Jesus, and this is the war that he will have his final try.
